Probems with your order:

We want our customers to be happy!

We choose to only send out plants we would be happy to receive ourselves. We take pictures of each and every order before they are packaged up and shipped to you.

With that said, if there are any issues with your order, you as the customer need to contact us within 24 hours of your package being delivered. Please include photos of any problems you find.

Tubers:

All single tubers are guaranteed to arrive in good condition with a neck, body and an eye. Tuber eyes will be visibly marked upon arrival.

Not all tubers look alike. Some are small, others larger, some look funny, but all of them will grow. By purchasing with us you acknowledge you are purchasing a viable tuber not necessarily beautiful tuber.

Cuttings:

All cuttings are buried at least two leaf nodes deep in a soilless medium called Sunshine Mix #4. We sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi on the roots to encourage healthy growth.

Virus:

We currently do not test for dahlia virus. However, during our growing season we cull any suspicious plants. We sanitize our tools between each cut with a 10% bleach solution. We release beneficial insects to contribute to a better ecosystem. However, many plants can carry a viral load and be shared through pests. According to the American Dahlia Society, most dahlias will carry a viral load of some sort. This is why we do not guarantee a virus free plant. We do however send out visibly healthy plants that we ourselves would be happy to receive.

Starter Plants:

We offer many other flowering plant choices than dahlias. These will vary widely in size but they will be smaller starter plants. All will be rooted and potted up into 3" clear pots. The plant roots are sprinkled with mycorrhizal fungi and potted in a soilless medium called Sunshine Mix #4. 

Hardening Off:

Our plants are born under grow lights indoors. It will be the responsibility of the buyer to harden the plants off properly. If you need assistance in knowing how to handle new plants, we will be including instructions. We are also available to additional questions because we want you to succeed.
